The Brands Still Building Cars in Britain
With a proven history of manufacturing vehicles, Britain was once a major producer of a variety of cars and vans. In recent years, many manufacturers have moved their production sites abroad, with fewer vehicles being made in Britain. At Greenhous Group, we are proud to represent a variety of brands who manufacture and deliver their vehicles from across the globe.
For those considering purchasing a British made car or van, read below to discover more about the options we currently sell across the Greenhous dealer group.
Nissan Qashqai, Nissan Juke and Nissan LEAF
Nissan have been producing a selection of their range from the Nissan Sunderland Plant, since its opening in 1986. Across the current Nissan offering, the Nissan Qashqai, Nissan Juke and Nissan LEAF are all currently manufactured at their Sunderland plant, and have been since 2006 and 2010 respectively. At the Sunderland site, they are currently able to produce 60 cars an hour, equating to one car per minute and are currently the UK’s largest car factory. The All-New Nissan LEAF will be the first new high-volume car to be built in Britain since 2020, and an exciting return addition to the Electrified Range from Nissan.
