A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as an Assistant Management Accountant at our Stoke-on-Trent site.
This role will support the finance team in delivering accurate and timely management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while working closely with operational teams to support decision-making. It’s an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their accounting skills within a fast-paced and supportive environment, with scope for progression and professional development.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of monthly Profit Reports within prescribed time limits.
- Maintain appropriate records and accounts which show the current position in respect of outside commitments and charges and keep the Financial Controller and Line Managers adequately informed regarding the control of costs.
- Receiving, banking and accounting for all monies received.
- Production of monthly wages analysis.
- Extension for Stocking and liaising with the Manufacturer.
- Assist in the control of vehicle Manufacturing debtors by providing managers with accurate, timely and relevant reports.
- Maintenance of control accounts for RFL and manufacturing supports.
- Monthly reconciliation of Manufacturer funding statements.
- Extending the vehicles stocking for relevant customers.
- Review and reconciliation of vehicle records to ensure all costs are relevant and in order.
- Provide support to other roles on site, as and when required.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Computer literate.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- KeyLoop (Kerridge), Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), Microsoft Word (basic level).
- Accuracy.
- Honesty.
- Proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills (verbally, by telephone and by email).
- Self-motivated.
